Miles Davis is among the biggest music icons of all time and remains too be as much of an influence to musicians today as he as been for the past six decades. Not just for his incredible music but for his style, paintings and attitude.
The Trumpet dates back almost 2000 years. There were bronze and silver trumpets discovered in Tutankhamun’s grave in Egypt. In medieval times, trumpet playing was a guarded craft and trumpet players were the most heavily guarded soldiers in battle as they communicate instructions to the rest of the army via notes they played.
The modern trumpet and it’s parts are illustrated on this particular design, we have just added the worn Miles at the end of the mouth piece as a tribute to one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century.
