Debbie Harry photographed here in Amsterdam, Holland after playing the Paradiso. 1978 was Blondies first European Tour. It wasnt until early 1979, when Heart of Glass made it to no：1, that they conquered the U.S. market. Harry was suddenly placed on a pedestal as a sex symbol for the 80s, which she neither embraced nor avoided. Blondie remained an intriguing combination of cynical humor and lollipop innocence. As Harry once told Cosmopolitan： I happen to have a sensual nature and I suppose it comes out in pictures.
