AD LIB CLUB TEE WORN BY JOHN LENNON (1966)


John Lennonが生前、実際に着ていたTシャツを蘇らせたWorn FreeのオフィシャルライセンスTシャツです。
付属しているステージバックパス風のステッカーにはJohn Lennonが実際に着ていたポートレートが使われており、いつどこでそれが着られていたのかが記されています。



Ad Lib Clubはロンドンのソーホーで1963年に開業したナイトクラブ。
John LennonとGeorge Harrisonが初めてLSDでトリップした場所で、その時はエレベーターが燃えている幻覚を見たようです。後にGeorge Harrisonはこれを「The Dental Experience」と名付けました。

また、The Beatlesはこの店に自分達のテーブルを持っていて、メンバーのRingo StarrはここでMaureen Coxにプロポーズしました。

The Ad Lib Club was always associated with The Beatles in the mid sixties. The club was situated on the 4th floor of 7 Leicester Place over the Prince Charles cinema in Soho, London. It opened in December 1963.

John Lennon & George Harrison took their first LSD trip there in 1965 and both hallucinated that the lift was on fire an event which Harrison later called "The Dental Experience". The Beatles had their own table at the club. It was also where Ringo proposed to Maureen Cox.
