THE GREETING COMMITTEE TEE WORN BY JOHN LENNON (1976)


John Lennonが生前、実際に着ていたTシャツを蘇らせたWorn FreeのオフィシャルライセンスTシャツです。
付属しているステージバックパス風のステッカーにはJohn Lennonが実際に着ていたポートレートが使われており、いつどこでそれが着られていたのかが記されています。



1973年にJohn Lennonが「Mind Games」をレコーディングしている時、毎日のように会いに来ていたマリー、ロビン、ゴールディ、バーバラ達に「Greeting Committee」という渾名をつけたところ、この渾名を気に入った彼らがTシャツを作ってJohn Lennonにプレゼントしました。

Marie, Robin, Goldie & Barbara would go and see Lennon everyday in 1973 when he was recording Mind Games at the famous Record Plant Studios, so Lennon dubbed them the Greeting Committee. Loving there new nickname the gang went off and made this t-shirt for John and presented it to him. Lennon surprised them the next day by wearing the shirt, captured here in the photo on our hangtag (taken by Robin).
